With BoothCon just days away I thought I would impart some helpful info to help you make the most of attending BoothCon20. (A copy has also been emailed to the registered email of all attendees, speakers and exhibitors)
Registration and Show Bag
On arrival please register to collect your Attendee Pass (General or VIP), lanyard and Show Bag.
On Day 1 (Tue) the registration desk will be open from 7.30am outside the Hills Room within the Guest Hotel on level 1.
On Day 2 (Wed) the registration desk will be open from 8.30am outside the Hills Room for anyone who didn’t register already.
A copy will be available to you along with your trade show bag at the registration desk. Can also be view online:

Note Taking
It is highly recommended that you take notes during the Seminars and Master Classes. Pens and paper will be provided by the venue but feel free to bring your own.
BoothCon is being held at the Eatons Hill Hotel Complex 646 S Pine Road, Eatons Hill, North Brisbane
Seminar Day (Day 1, Tuesday 14 Jan)
· Registration Desk opens at 7.30am
· Please arrive early to collect your passes, lanyards, name tags and showbags.
· Please take your seats in the Seminar room by 8.30am
· Opening Address begins at 8.45am sharp
· Happy Hour Networking after completion of Seminars downstairs at the lobby bar at approx. 5.00pm – 6.00pm
Note – You will have free time between 6pm – 8pm to get dinner and/or changed.
After Party
· 8pm – late on Tue night at “The Deck Bar” at the Eatons Hill Hotel Main Building (across from the Hotel)
· Free Entry
Master Class and Trade Show Day (Day 2, Wednesday 15 Jan)
There are 5 Master Classes running during day 2, limited to just 40 seats per class. The first class at 9.00am (see the Schedule for more info). All classes require pre – registration with sponsored classes free of charge and others requiring a ticket fee to cover the Teachers remuneration. Please lineup outside 10 min prior to all classes.
  1. 9am – 10am Kiefa Doherty and Felicity Hyde – How To Survive Boothing As a Chic
  2. 10.15am – 11.30am Catalina Bloch – Closing Large Corporate Events With Proposals
  3. 11.45am – 12.45pm Rita Zaychik – Photo Mosaic Wall 101
  4. 1.00pm – 2.15pm Peter Dancewicz – Content Creative To Propel Your Business Online
  5. 2.30pm -3.30pm Steve Bliesner – Mastering Breeze For Ipad/Iphone
Tickets are required to each class you wish to attend and can be purchased via the website
Trade Show is open from 10am – 4pm (Wed Only)
· FREE parking available in underneath carpark at the hotel. There is also plenty of free parking above at the Eatons Hill Village Shopping Centre.

Food and Drinks
· Water will be available all day via the drinks station
· VIP tkt holders will receive continuous Tea and Coffee from the VIP Hot Drinks Station
· Food not provided by or purchased from the venue is strictly not allowed to be consumed at the venue, please exit the venue to consume.
· The venue does have a café, bistro and restaurant on site however for quick service and to avoid queues it is recommended to go across to the shopping village (Woolworths, Grill’d, Cafe’s and more)
· Note: VIP Ticket holders (inc all Speakers) will receive lunch at the event.
· If you leave the venue be mindful of the time as all Seminars will run as stated.

After Party Announcement

Exciting news Boothers! I have just locked in the Roof Top Bar at the Eatons Hill Hotel for the official After Party!

The After Party is held on the first night (to ensure max turnout!) and will run 8pm – Late and is traditionally one of the highlights of BoothCon as Boothers let their hair down and forge those relationships that build and solidify their industry support base making it a very valuable and fun aspect of BoothCon.

The wonderful folk at LA Photo Party have kindly sponsored the event so entry is FREE to all valid ticket holders. LAPP will have one of their cool booths set up for everyone to play with and capture all the fun.

There will also be a Networking Drinks Hour being held at the Lobby Bar straight after the Seminars finish running 5 – 6pm with free time in between so we can all get a feed, recharge and be ready to party hard into the night!

International Speaker Announcement

It is with great pleasure (and after many years of both of us trying to make this happen) that I can announce that Catalina Bloch is coming down under to speak at BoothCon! Catalina is the founder of MDRN Photobooth Company from Canada. In 5 short years she grew her photo booth company from 1 booth in one city to 13 booth in 3 cities. Cat shares her knowledge freely through her photobooth training website, educational videos like Secrets To Running a 6 Figure Photobooth Business, and weekly with Photobooth Supply Co Social Media.Not only that she is gracious enough to be speaking twice! Firstly on day 1 she will be giving a Seminar then on Day 2 she has an AMAZING Master Class planned. Speaker Announcement: Ryan Salinas

Look who’s back!!! Having just come out of a self imposed social media hiatus it is with great pleasure that I announce the return of BoothCon’s favourite Texan: Ryan Salinas !!
BoothCon20 will see Ryan, for the first time, present on the main stage (on Day 1) so every attendee will get to see and hear him sharing his amazing stories. Ryan is a photo booth industry veteran and host of the worlds best photo booth industry Podcast Super Boothers – The Photo Booth Business Podcast. (Check it out, its full of great info and hilarious anecdotes)
Ryan is very excited to get back to BoothCon and hang out with all his Aussie boothing buddies. Only time will tell if he returns to us with his new blonde locks.

Speaker Announcement #6

Due to popular demand our Kiwi cousin Dion is back!
Dion was one of two life saving speakers who stepped up to help out at this years BoothCon when scheduled speakers were unable to make it. Normally that would be reason enough to be singing someones praises however Dion’s talk ” Putting Purpose Into Your Passion” turned out to be one of the speaker highlights for many attendees.
Dion recently said to me “if I can do that with just a few hours notice imagine what I can do if I have 7 months!” So to that end Dion is back with his new talk “So you think you’re not creative: How to kill your ideas before they kill you!”
If you have ever looked at another booth business, and wished you were more like them creatively then this is the talk for you. Dion will share insights and tales of triumph and disaster, and the role that creativity plays in these – and how you can improve your business with a mindset of creativity.
This is sure to be another not to be missed BoothCon talk. Will you be there or just wishing you had been afterwards?

Speaker Announcement #5

Returning for his second go around is the delightful Bob Lindquist the right hand man behind the worlds largest photo booth expo PBX. Bob will be sharing his tips and advice to help you stay focused, motivated and productive with his talk “Time Management: Simplified”

Being your own boss is great but comes with it’s own set of challenges. So if like me you struggle with prioritising work flows, staying motivated and holding yourself accountable then this talk is really going to help get you back on track and kicking goals again!

In addition to his current assignment as Media and Marcom Director of Photo Booth Expo, Bob operates FLXWebDesign and Dayspring Communications Group. His connection to the Photo Booth industry relates to his background as a Mobile DJ and former Publisher of Mobile Beat: The DJ Magazine. After weathering 40+ years of Self-Employment, Bob has learned a thing or two on how to make it work and now enjoys encouraging others in their journey to make it on their own.
