BoothCon 2017 and 2018 Update

BoothCon has just passed break even and from here on in every new registration, sponsor or exhibitor will increase the chance of BoothCon returning even bigger and better in 2018!

What is yet not clear is whether or not it will be held in QLD again. There is a big push from NSW and also VIC to hold it in those states and to be honest so far QLD isnt showing enough cause to change that possibility. (For once I cant hear the “Queenslander!” sporting call, what the?)

So the takeaway is this …no matter where you are based if you want BoothCon to return in 2018 and better still to come (or remain) in your state then vote with your attendance in 2017.

AFTER PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT

The official BoothCon After Party will be held on Tue the 17th Jan at Archive/Loft Bar just a short walk from the Brisbane Convention Centre in vibrant West End and will run from 8pm – late. We will have our own area including bar and bar staff to ensure we are well looked after.

Tickets are just $35 and include Beer, Wine, Finger Food and Soft Drinks.

At this stage no corporate sponsors have come on board to help out with the cost of putting this party on however I will personally match the funds raised by ticket purchases (up to $2000) and all money will go directly to the bar so a good night is guaranteed!

Note: It was decided to have the party on the first day to allow many of you to return home on Wed night rather than have to have the added expense of having to overnight again.

BoothCon is pleased to announce that The Wilkes Booth Co who already were confirmed as a Minor sponsor have stepped up to be Major Sponsor!

Our good friends at Red Robot Industries have some major things happening so have regrettably had to step aside as a sponsor for now but will still be exhibiting and Phil Preston will still be speaking. We thank Red Robot for their ongoing support.

The really exciting news is that there is now room for another supporter or two of the Aussie Photo Booth industry to step up into the role of Minor Sponsor alongside Industry Partners Photo Booth Expo Photobooth Finder and Booth Cover.

Exhibitor and Speaker Update

Welcome on board to The Booth Box who along with “The Wilkes Booth Co” from The PhotoBooth Guys , Photosnap Photobooths and Red Robot Industries means we have now secured 4 of the best and well known Aussie photo booth manufacturers to exhibit at Boothcon.

Boothcon is gaining worldwide interest from some of the best industry speakers who want to share their knowledge and experiences with you at Boothcon.

So far we have the following amazing industry speakers and their topics confirmed:

Is BoothCon an Expo or a Convention?

I’m glad you asked! The answer is that it’s neither alone and it’s both together! In fact BoothCon is more than either of these terms can possibly articulate but together they paint the closest picture until people start to associate BoothCon as an event unto itself.

For those of you that like full clarification here is a list of all the event experiences BoothCon is and offers:

  • An Exposition/Trade Fair – a place for exhibitors to present their products/services
  • A Convention – a meeting point for like minded people to discuss a certain topic or field
  • A Seminar Event – a series of seminars to educate and share knowledge with attendees
  • Master Class Event – a series of specialty classes presented by experts to educate and share knowledge with attendees
  • Guest Speaker Event – a place for interesing guest speakers to present topics of interest to attendees
  • Demo Talk Event – a place for products and services demonstration for attendees

As you can see it’s a pretty big deal but no matter how you want to define it, if you’re serious about being a Photo Boother it’s not to be missed.
