It is with great pleasure that I confirm that BoothCon19 will be held on the 15/16th of Jan at the West Waters Hotel and Entertainment Complex in Melbourne.
I considered around 15 venues and did site inspections for 5 of them and nothing came close in terms of not only being suitable for the needs of BoothCon but also being of value to attendees. Whilst it’s nice to be central in a city as we have been in previous years this also makes it expensive for accom, food, parking etc for everyone.
This is where West Waters was the clear winner. It’s across the road from a huge shopping centre full of restaurants, cafes and super markets, it has a gorgeous 4.5* star hotel on site (The Mercure) set on a lake which is more affordable to stay at than a 3 star in the city, its just 25/30mins from the airport and the city AND parking is FREE! (not $45/day like some of the city venues)
I have already stayed at the hotel and am so stoked with this venue and cant wait to get back next year so you can all see for yourselves!
